This CFSEI webinar will provide an update on developments in fastening of cold-formed steel.  Recent additions to the AISI S100 North American Cold-Formed Steel Specification include provisions for the design of connections with mechanical fasteners including power-actuated fasteners (PAFs).  A background on PAF technology will be covered including types of fasteners, how technical design data is developed through laboratory testing and common CFS applications.  An update on recent PAF research testing programs will also be covered including the new AISI S100 design provisions and seismic qualification test procedures.
